Map of Orcas Island
Orcas Island as seen from space. Looks like a big horseshoe doesn't it? On a related note...a massive horseshoe provides the gateway to Moran State Park.

Orcas Island has at least five full-service hotels and resorts and all but one have spectacular ranking on trip advisor. Most are historical buildings whose original purpose for being built have came and went with the seas of time. Rosario Resort was built by a man who made millions building ships and was falsely told he had only months to live... another was an orchard farmhouse serving Orcas Island's agricultural economy.

Nearly all of the hotels now offer a level of service and luxury that rival the best of the northwest and many offer rooms at rates within reach of the rest of us. Take your time and explore the unique services, activities and unique histories of these notable Orcas hotels/resorts:
