Many visitors arriving into Anacortes late in the evening will chose to stay a night in Anacortes before taking the ferry ( from the Anacortes Ferry Landing ) into the San Juan Islands. The Anacortes ferry landing is just another 10 minutes down the road from downtown Anacortes. Cash Saving Tip: Load up on groceries at the Anacortes Safeway as prices are more expensive in the islands. Don't miss the local farmers markets in the islands though.
