You don't need to pay several hundred bucks for a yuppie place to stay in the islands. There are a few places on each island priced at much more reasonable rates. Your hard earned cash is better spent in local seafood restaurants or saved in your bank account for your winter ski trip.
Families, couples, or individuals looking for a cheap hotel on Orcas, Lopez, or San Juan Island need not look further than the list below. Some of the hotel/BB prices in the islands may seem outrageous.... can't we just find a cheap and clean motel and spend our money on great food and activities?
